What is the eligibility for the courses?
As prescribed by MCI / DCI, candidates who have passed their M.B.B.S. or B.D.S. from an institution recognised by MCI / DCI and have completed (or are expecting to complete their internship by 30/04/2010) are eligible for the courses. Candidate/s should also meet other requirements as prescribed by MCI / DCI.

Is the Entrance Test open only to Karnataka students?
No, this test is open to all the eligible students in the country.

Are candidates applying from outside the state of Karnataka eligible to get the benefit of lower eligibility qualifying marks?
No, candidates applying from outside the state of Karnataka are not eligible to get the benefit of lower eligibility qualifying marks.

I have finished my M.B.B.S. a few years ago. Am I eligible for these courses?
Yes, you can apply for the notified courses, as long as you fulfil the basic eligibility as prescribed by MCI / DCI.

Is there an age limit for admission to the courses?
No, there is no age limit for admission to the courses.

I am interested in applying for certain courses, but these are not listed in the course list provided in this brochure?
The course list provided in this brochure is limited to only those courses offered by COMEDK Member Institutions.

When is the last date to apply?
All filled-in applications must reach the office of COMEDK on or before 31st December 2009 Thursday, by 5:30PM. Applications received after the stipulated date and time will be liable for rejection.

What is the procedure of seat selection?
For the academic year 2010-2011, selection of seats for the Post Graduate courses in Member Institutions will be based on merit, taking into account the performance of the candidate in COMEDK PGET-2010, COMEDK entrance test and publication of test score and rank list will be followed by central counseling (Single window). The details of the arrangement made will be published in due course on our website. http://www.comedk.org

How will I know my test results?
The results will be intimated to all the eligible candidates individually. The same will also be available on our website.

If I have 5 clarifications in the answer key, then do I send a DD of Rs.500 or Rs.2500?
You have to send a DD of Rs.2500. (Rs.500 per clarification) along with the format (Appendix-I of Brochure).

I want to seek clarification of my test score. Should I send a DD of Rs.250/-?
You have to send a DD of Rs.250. (Rs.250 per OMR sheet) along with the format (Appendix-II of Brochure)

Would I get a refund for the amount, which I have sent along with my clarification's?
You would be entitled for a refund only to the extent your clarification's are upheld by the COMEDK academic committee.

What are the enclosures to be sent along with the filled in application form?
The following documents have to be sent along with the filled in application form as enclosures.
Note: Send the Application and enclosures in A4 size envelope only. Do not fold the application form.
Kindly arrange the documents in the following order:
1. DD for Rs.1500/- drawn in favour of COMEDK payable at Bangalore (mention your application number & applicant name behind the DD)
2. Additional colour photograph (mention your application number & applicant’s name behind the photograph) COMEDK Application form.
3. Printed online COMEDK copy of Date of Birth Certificate / Identity Proof in the prescribed form duly attested by the head of the institution where he/she has studied last or Gazetted officer not below the rank of Tahsildar of the area in which the candidate is a resident
4. Photocopies of all marks cards including that of failed year if any(First Year to Final Year university marks card/s)
5. Photocopy of Attempt Certificate
6. Photocopy of Internship Completion Certificate / Internship Completed Certificate.
7. Photocopy of Degree Certificate / Provisional Degree Certificate,
8. Photocopy of Registration Certificate.
Note: Avoid stapling of Demand Draft and additional photograph to the application form instead use clips.
Any application received by COMEDK without the required enclosures will be liable for rejection.

Can I send a black and white photograph?
No, the photographs to be provided in the application form and Printed Online Date of Birth Certificate / Identity Proof and the extra copy of photograph have to be identical. It should not be more than 6 months old. Application with smudged / tampered or hazy photograph will not be accepted.

What is a Minority Institution and who is eligible to be admitted under Minority Quota?
Minority institutions are of two types:
1) Religious Minority 2) Linguistic Minority
Candidates belonging to Karnataka State only are eligible to claim the minority status. Minority College is entitled to admit candidates from their own minority group only. Candidates seeking admission only under minority status should have secured not less than 50% just as General candidates in COMEDK PGET 2010.
