JSS Institute of Architecture and Planning

JSS Institute of Architecture and Planning (JSSIAP) is established by JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysuru in 2021 for providing education in Architecture at Dharwad. It is located in JSS Campus, Kelageri, Dharwad at 3km from Dharwad City and 442Km from Banglore city.

The JSSIAP is located in the JSS campus, Dharwad which is having a total area of 80 acres. The JSSIAP will be having s separate area of 5 acres to facilitate the future expansion and also to provide separate hostels for boys and girls.

Faculty

The institute is having highly qualified teaching staff as per the guidelines of Council of Architecture. To enhance the quality of teaching, sufficient number of non-teaching faculty are also recruited.

Infrastructure

The institute is having good infrastructure which is much more than the requirement of Council of Architecture (COA) and Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). This includes Studio, Class Room, Computer Center, Laboratory, Sports Room, Maintenance Room, Office Room, Canteen, Girls Common Room etc.

Recognition and affiliation

The institute is approved by COA and Govt of Karnataka to function as an architecture institute from the academic year 2021 – 22. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi.

Library

The institute has library with good number of text books and reference books as per the syllabus requirement of VTU. It has a separate reference section. The library has subscription to reputed National and International journals to encourage the research potential of the students.

Transportation Facility

The institute is having transportation facility from different parts of Dharwad city. It is well connected to other areas of city through a good and safe network of roads.

Hostel Facility

The institute is providing good hostel facility for both boys and girls. It is planning to construct separate hostel buildings after the completion of administrative block.

Placement and Training

Students are encouraged to undergo staff skill training during the course and make them eligible for placement in reputed companies. Entrepreneurship training is also provided to encourage students to become young entrepreneurs contributing in the process of nation building.

Admissions

The students who are qualified through NATA are eligible for admissions in CET/COMEDK quota.
