AIT has consistently demonstrated academic excellence and is ranked among the Top 5 affiliated institutions under VTU. AIT has established itself as a leader in sports, securing the first position in VTU sports and receiving the Outstanding Cash Prize Award of ?1 lakh in 2024. The institute's cultural teams have also earned accolades at prestigious events such as Rangasourabha, Srishti 2025, and the VTU Youth Festival 2025.

The National Service Scheme (NSS) at AIT nurtures social responsibility and environmental consciousness through impactful community outreach programmes and sustainability initiatives.

AIT has developed a vibrant research ecosystem. During 2025, the institute submitted 85 research project proposals worth ?31.25 crore to various funding agencies. The Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) actively supports student innovation and entrepreneurship. In 2024, the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, sanctioned ?15 lakh to support a student innovation project.

The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Cell has demonstrated significant research outcomes, with 26 patents filed and 23 patents published during the academic year 2025–26.

AIT has forged strong global and industry partnerships through collaborations with 20 international universities and over 30 industries to facilitate joint research, student exchange, certifications, internships, and skill development. Students benefit from industry-certified programmes offered in collaboration with IBM, Microsoft, L&T, Siemens, EC-Council, and Red Hat.

The institute houses several state-of-the-art Centres of Excellence, including the ABB Robotics Laboratory, Electric Vehicle Laboratory in collaboration with L&T, and the Embedded Systems Laboratory supported by Texas Instruments. Candela, a US-based company on campus, provides on-campus internship and research opportunities for students.

AIT's global alumni network continues to grow through active Alumni Chapters in Bengaluru, Tanzania, and the USA, fostering industry connections and mentoring opportunities.

The institute has an excellent placement record, with more than 350 companies participating in campus recruitment every year. AIT consistently achieves a placement success rate exceeding 90%, with salary packages ranging from ?3.4 lakh to ?65 lakh per annum, reflecting the quality of education, industry readiness, and career opportunities provided to its students.
