Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Engineering and Technology, Dharwad was established in the year 1979 under the flagship of SDME SOCIETY and has grown into one of the nationally acclaimed Premier Engineering Institutions of the country. The campus consists of a cluster of magnificent buildings spread across an undulating terrain of more than 69 acres which are very imaginatively laid out and landscaped. The Institution with its unique and innovative practices and initiatives, dedicated and committed team of faculty and staff, robust curriculum, excellent infrastructure has received the academic autonomy by UGC New Delhi and VTU Belagavi.SDMCET stands one amongst the first 14 Engineering Institutions in Karnataka to be granted Autonomous status from VTU & UGC, New Delhi.
