Sri. C. M. Nagaraj was born on March 09, 1942 in a small village Chandanahalli of Kunigal Taluk in Tumkur District. He grew up with an interest in sports and became a physical education teacher in a school in Bengaluru. Sensing the importance of physical fitness in better learning and academic resilience, he founded a school in 1968, at the age of 26, that offers balance between sports and academics. Based on the success of his first school in terms of reach and impact, he established a few more educational institutions. He believed that what was created will survive him as well as serve future generations in terms of fostering economic growth, reducing poverty, promoting social equality, improving overall well-being of the society and transforming the nation. To celebrate his memory and make his legacy immortal, CMN Institute of Technology (CMNIT) is established in the year 2026. CMN Institute of Technology is based out Bengaluru, envisioned to become a leading education hub which, welcomes every student aspiring to receive safe and stimulating learning environment.
