Application Procedure

The process involves the following stages:


Note: Send the application form in A4 size envelope only. Do not fold the application form
  • Ensure that the Demand Draft for Rs.650/-(Rupees six hundred fifty only) if you intend to appear for MBBS/BDS(PCB) or BE(PCM) and Rs.850/- (Rupees eight hundred fifty only) for MBBS/BDS and BE(PCMB), to be kept ready before filling up the Online Application form, as you will have to enter the DD details.
  • The Online application form has to be filled up properly and completely.
  • Take a print of the filled in Application form and Date of Birth Certificate/ Identity Proof.
  • The Application form is said to be complete only if it is enclosed with all the documents mentioned below and mailed to COMEDK office.
  • Multiple application form filled and received from the same candidate will result in confusion and may cause for disqualification.
  • Multiple Demand Drafts if sent (Excess Amount) by the candidate will not be refunded.
Checklist of documents to accompany the completed Application Form:
  • Demand Draft for Rs.650/- for MBBS/BDS(PCB) or BE(PCM) and Rs.850/- for MBBS/BDS and BE(PCMB) drawn in favour of COMEDK-2008 payable at Bangalore (mention your name and application number on the back of Demand Draft)DD submitted will not be refunded.
  • COMEDK copy of Date of Birth Certificate/ Identity Proof in the prescribed form duly attested by the head of the institution last studied.
  • Additional passport size photograph (mention your name and application number on the back of photograph)


Non-refundable fee for taking COMEDK UGET-2008 and attending centralised counselling, if eligible, is Rs.650/- for MBBS/BDS(PCB) or BE(PCM) and Rs.850/- for MBBS/BDS and BE(PCMB). Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of COMEDK-2008, payable at Bangalore and should be enclosed with the application and all other relevant document after mentioning application number on the back of DD. (If DD is not enclosed the application will be rejected.)

Brochure and application form can be availed only through COMEDK website.

NOTE:

Candidates are advised to visit COMEDK website regularly to watch for "Red Alert" list of incomplete applications to ensure corrections well in time and to enable COMEDK to send the Test Admission Ticket in time. COMEDK is not responsible for rejection if clarifications listed in the red alert are not provided in time.
Please note that printed Brochures and Applications are not sold.
  The completed Application Form has to reach COMEDK office on or before Saturday the 10th April 2008 to the following address by post or courier.

Note: Applications will not be received in person either in the COMEDK office or by any member institution.

Applicants are directed to go through the instructions carefully before filling the application forms.

Applicants are requested to send the filled-in application form at the earliest to avoid any delay. Please do not wait until the last date to send in your forms.

Note:

Please do note that the Photographs to be provided have to be identical, in Colour and clear, and should not be more than 6 months old. Application with smudged/tampered or hazy photograph will not be accepted. Any application received not adhering to these specifications is liable to be rejected without any clarifications and no refund would be made. The decision of the COMEDK Committee on this would be final and binding.

For all future correspondence with COMEDK UGET-2008, applicants need to quote their Application Number and TAT (Test Admission Ticket) Number (if applicable).
